Products without registration and online sales under scrutiny
The National Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Technology detected that these cosmetics were being marketed without authorization. They also did not have registration data on their labels.
After consulting the official database of registered cosmetics, ANMAT confirmed that there is no authorized product with that data. Therefore, it proceeded with a total ban.
In addition, publications were identified on digital platforms with shipping throughout the country. The agency activated its monitoring program to remove the offers.

Warning about possible presence of formaldehyde
One of the most sensitive points is the possible presence of formalin (formaldehyde) as a straightening active ingredient. It is a substance that is not authorized for that use in cosmetics.
Acute exposure can cause irritation, burning, itching, tearing, and coughing, and it also affects the respiratory tracts of both clients and stylists. In prolonged exposures, the risk is greater. It can cause allergic dermatitis, hypersensitivity, and even increase the likelihood of certain carcinomas.
