Rosario Board of Trade reported that the wheat harvest progressed rapidly in Córdoba following recent rains. Producers highlighted that the average yield in the core region reaches 60 quintals per hectare, widely surpassing historical highs. The report indicated that the results consolidate a campaign with unprecedented values for the cereal.
According to the entity, the harvest covers 40% of the area and confirms that current yields are above all previous statistics. Producers noted that the plots show exceptional performance in most of the provincial territory. Surveys show that the combination of rain and heat accelerated the advance of machinery.
In Marcos Juárez, tasks surpassed 65% of the area and record averages close to 70 quintals per hectare. Maximums reach 95 quintals per hectare, a value considered a record for the area. Minimums are around 40 quintals per hectare, although technicians emphasize that even these cases remain above other campaigns.

Grain quality and issues related to protein
Technicians warned that the campaign presents a recurring difficulty related to the low protein level in the grain. They pointed out that the negative correlation between yield and protein makes the presence of values below 8% more frequent. The situation forces storage facilities to classify most of the plots within grade three according to industrial parameters.
