President Javier Milei will be present alongside Donald Trump at the 2026 World Cup draw, scheduled for December 5 at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., according to official sources.
The goal is for both the libertarian leader and the U.S. president to appear together in the exclusive presidential box, a space reserved only for the two most representative figures of the global right.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will, for the first time, feature three host countries: United States, Mexico, and Canada. In this context, Gianni Infantino, president of the federation, extended the invitation to all the leaders of the countries whose national teams will participate in the tournament.

“There will only be two presidents in the presidential box: Javier Milei and Donald Trump. No one else,” a government official emphasized to Infobae when referring to the invitation of the U.S. president.
With 32 teams already secured in the competition, the draw for the 12 groups will take place on December 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kennedy Center in Washington, which has a concert hall with a capacity for 2,442 spectators. This iconic cultural complex is home to both the National Symphony Orchestra and the Washington National Opera.
The major sporting event will begin on June 9, 2026, and the final will take place 40 days later, on July 19, after a total of 104 matches have been played. The Argentina national team led by Lionel Scaloni arrives as the reigning champion, having claimed the title in Qatar 2022.

The confirmation comes just days after a new trade agreement with the United States was made official, which, according to a statement from the White House, aims to promote sustained growth, expand business opportunities, and establish a transparent and regulatory framework for trade and innovation.
With the photo in the Presidential Box, Milei and Trump will add a new meeting to the five they have already held, in addition to other brief exchanges at various events. This way, the two right-wing leaders consolidate a strong bond both ideologically and personally.
