Argentine soccer is once again standing out on a global level thanks to Julián Álvarez, who was included in the ranking of players with the highest market value prepared by the CIES Football Observatory. With an estimated value close to 126 million euros, the forward managed to place himself among the ten most valuable footballers on the planet, being the only Argentine in that select group.
The International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) takes into account a wide variety of factors to calculate these estimates: contract duration, salary, honors, impact both at clubs and national teams, and statistics for goals and assists, among others.
In the case of the Spider, his performance with the Argentina National Team and his brilliant season at Atlético de Madrid, where he scored 29 goals and 6 assists in 53 matches, were decisive for his economic projection, which ranks ninth.
Meanwhile, the ranking is led by Lamine Yamal, the star of Barcelona, whose value was estimated at 402 million euros after renewing his contract with the Catalan club. Two big names follow: Erling Haaland, with 240 million, and Jude Bellingham, with 235 million euros.
