Manuel Adorni: 'Society chose to end the enormous tragedy of Kirchnerism'
'We are the best instrument to end Kirchnerism once and for all,' stated the winner of the Buenos Aires elections
Manuel Adorni, the recent winner of the legislative elections in the City of Buenos Aires for La Libertad Avanza, offered a speech full of gratitude and political definitions after the victory that, in his words, "was not simply a local election", but a "plebiscite between two models of the country."
Adorni began his message expressing gratitude: "The first thing one has to do in these great moments, in these pieces of history that we are collecting, is to thank. First to my family, Betín, to the little ones, who are very young and are the first responsible for all this to happen. To the half a million people from Buenos Aires who supported us. To all the activists, to all the prosecutors who didn't earn a single peso to make this a reality. To all this wonderful cabinet that, as the President just said, has shouldered the campaign and didn't stop giving me their support permanently."
The now elected legislator also highlighted the support of President Javier Milei: "Of course, to the President of the Nation, for his constant support. The support he gives to the Government. The support he gave me in the campaign. And the accompaniment he provides us permanently. Thank you, Mr. President."

Adorni emphasized the national character of the contest: "Perhaps it was striking to see in a local election, in a legislative election, so many relevant faces from different spaces. And it is precisely because it was not simply a local election. Because it was not simply a legislative election. It was an election where one chooses between two models."
"In this election, one chose between two models. Between the Kirchnerist model, between decadence, between poverty and the past. Or the freedom that society effectively chose. To La Libertad Avanza as its representative," he stated, and celebrated with the activists with an enthusiastic: "Freedom! Freedom! Freedom!"
For Adorni, the result was clear: "It was the model of the caste, the model of privileges, the model of a few and the model of freedom. And today freedom won, gentlemen. Once again."
The leader highlighted the growth of the space: "It happened in Jujuy, it happened in Salta. Today it happened in the City of Buenos Aires, as I repeat, with the support of half a million people from Buenos Aires who have chosen La Libertad Avanza. In fact, we doubled the number of voters who supported us just two years ago here in the City of Buenos Aires."

Adorni also reflected on the meaning of the election: "What this election left today is, perhaps, the learning or perhaps the footnote that society understands that we are definitely the best instrument to end once and for all with Kirchnerism which has been nothing more than a huge tragedy for the Argentine Republic."
In that sense, he made a broad call: "I want to extend an invitation to each of the leaders of the different political parties who want real change for Argentina. And in this, I take the liberty of speaking, not only on my behalf, but on behalf of the President of the Nation, Javier Milei, and on behalf of Karina Milei. Because the truth is that people made a decision and the decision they made, ultimately, is that the instrument for change is La Libertad Avanza. The instrument for change is us."
With a final call for unity and breadth, he concluded: "We invite everyone, absolutely everyone, who wants to support this project, support a real change in the country, leave egos aside, leave personalisms aside, leave meanness aside, and join this called La Libertad Avanza which is the instrument, I repeat, that society has chosen to change this. And I conclude, to change Argentina... tabula rasa, this is the spirit of La Libertad Avanza. Anyone who supports our agenda is welcome, no matter where they come from. Thank you very much. Thank you for joining us. Thank you. Totally."
