'I hate them': Gianinna and Dalma confronted the press after Villafañe's accident

Diego Maradona's daughters condemned the alarmist coverage of Claudia's accident

The car accident involving Claudia Villafañe in Núñez quickly set off alarms on news portals. However, the focus of the story was not on the minor injury she suffered, but on her daughters' reaction, who criticized the sensationalist coverage of the information.

Gianinna Maradona used her social media to calm rumors and clarify her mother's health status. "It's true that my mom was in a crash... What's not true is that her life is in danger," she wrote in an Instagram story.

The designer explained that Villafañe underwent a CT scan that came out "spectacular" and that she only received three stitches on her head. In that same message, she vented her anger at the media:  "My son and my friends/family already know not to believe anything from the usual sensationalists, but the concern caused by the headlines is unmanageable."

Angrily, she ended her statement bluntly:  "I hate them."

Dalma also replied

Soon after, Dalma Maradona  also spoke out on social media and made her outrage clear. The older of the sisters directly questioned the journalistic approach: "How much of a son of a b... do you have to be to say that her life is in danger when that's not the case?"

Dalma admitted that the news did not deserve greater repercussions: "I understand that saying someone was in a crash and, thank God, only got 3 stitches is not a major news story." Still, she pointed out the harm caused by alarmist headlines and delivered a message full of questions: "Do these people have families? Mothers? Children?"

Finally, she thanked those who wrote to her with concern and offered reassurance: "Tata will be around for a long time."

The incident occurred Tuesday morning near the Labruna Bridge, in front of River's stadium. According to the police report, Villafañe made a U-turn in an unauthorized area and grazed another vehicle.

Diego Maradona's ex-wife  suffered a minor head injury and was treated at a nearby health center. The other driver was unharmed and the incident was recorded as a minor crash with minor injuries.

"It was just a crash, I'm fine," the businesswoman assured reporters, downplaying the episode.
