The war between Russia and Ukraine intensified again with a new wave of drone attacks and bombings that left multiple civilian victims on both sides, amid accusations crusades and no progress towards a ceasefire

.

Russian authorities reported Tuesday that Ukrainian drone attacks caused the death of at least five civilians, including a 12-year-old boy and his parents, in the Russian region of Vladimir. According to the regional governor, drones hit a residential building overnight, destroying the apartment where the family was staying. The event was presented by Moscow as a sign of Ukraine's growing capacity to hit Russian territory

.

In parallel, in areas of southeastern Ukraine under Russian control, attacks attributed to Kiev were also reported. The pro-Russian governor of Zaporizhia, Yevgeny Balitsky, reported that a drone hit a school in the town of Velikaya Znamenka. The attack left six seriously injured, including five children, and caused the death of a local official who was collaborating in the evacuation of the building at the time of the impact

.

Also, in the Russian-controlled Kherson region, the governor installed by Moscow reported the death of a woman in her home after another drone attack. This information could not be independently verified, while Ukrainian authorities rejected the accusations and maintained that Russia continues to carry out systematic attacks against

civilians on Ukrainian territory.

For its part, Ukraine reported that Russian forces launched a series of offensives in the south-east of the country that left at least eight dead and more than two dozen injured in a single day. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Governor Oleksandr Ganzha noted that Russian troops attacked two civilian buses in the city of Nikopol and

nearby areas.

According to the official report, an FPV drone (first-person control) hit a bus that was approaching a bus stop in the city center, causing the death of four people and leaving at least 16 injured. Later, a second bus was hit in a neighboring community, leaving five additional injuries

.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenski, condemned the attacks and accused Russia of intensifying violence instead of moving towards a cessation of hostilities, especially in a context in which the possibility of a truce for Easter had been raised. In a message released on social networks, the president criticized those who, according to him, seek to weaken sanctions against Moscow

while the attacks continue.

In the city of Kherson, located a few kilometers from the front, local authorities reported a sustained attack of approximately 30 minutes against a residential area. The bombing left four elderly people dead and seven injured. Ukrainian officials and human rights organizations have warned that such attacks, particularly with FPV drones, have become increasingly frequent and directly affect the civilian population

.

Zelenski described the situation in Kherson as a constant threat to the inhabitants, noting that civilians are recurrent targets of attacks. Russia, for its part, has repeatedly denied that its forces deliberately target civilian targets, despite complaints and the high number of victims recorded since the beginning of the invasion

in 2022.

Without concrete progress toward a diplomatic solution, the conflict continues to escalate in intensity. While both sides exchange accusations, recent attacks reflect the high human cost of a protracted war, in which the civilian population remains the most affected
