The truck of a Rosario Central player crashed into a column: it is unknown who was driving it

The morning of Monday ended with a serious accident involving a truck belonging to Gastón Ávila, defender of Rosario Central. The vehicle was practically destroyed after crashing into a streetlight on Avenida Jorge Newbery, just a few meters from the area near the Islas Malvinas Airport in Rosario.

The Ford F-150 Raptor was traveling in the direction of Funes when, for reasons that have not yet been established, it veered off its path and violently collided with a column. After the impact, it traveled about 70 meters before stopping and ended up across the roadway.

The violence of the incident caused significant damage in various parts of the truck. The left side and the front were destroyed, the windshield was broken, the airbags deployed, and one of the wheels was almost completely detached. Additionally, several body parts were scattered across the avenue. Fortunately, the accident did not leave any injuries, according to the police information available so far.

One of the points that the investigation is still trying to clarify is who was driving at the time of the accident. According to reports from the club, Ávila was not driving the vehicle and had arrived at the scene after the crash, while various accounts indicated that a friend of his was driving the truck.

In light of the speculation that arose after the incident, the defender himself spoke out on social media. Ávila posted a picture with his daughter and stated: "At the time of the crash, we were resting to go to the dermatologist, I am fine. Thank you for your concern, a big hug".

Now, the investigations will need to determine the causes that led to the loss of control and accurately identify who was driving the vehicle. In the meantime, Ávila continues with the activities of the Rosario Central team, which is preparing to face Estudiantes de La Plata for the International Supercup next Saturday, September 26 in Santiago del Estero.
