President Javier Milei remains the world's second most approved leader

International pollster Morning Consult published the new data for June

According to the most recent data published by the international pollster Morning Consult, corresponding to the period from June 3 to 9, 2025, Argentine president Javier Milei recorded an approval rating of 60%.

Meanwhile, his disapproval rating fell and stood at 36%, and the remaining 4% declared no positive or negative opinion. This positions him as the second world leader with the highest positive image.

The improvement in President Milei's image is closely linked to the impressive macroeconomic progress achieved in the country.

Recent data published by INDEC revealed that, in May 2025, monthly inflation in Argentina fell to 1.5%, its lowest level since 2020, and well below the monthly average that ranged between 2 and 4% in 2024.

According to data from the agency, year-on-year inflation dropped to 43.5% in May, after reaching levels close to 290% in April 2024, following the severe economic crisis inherited from Kirchnerism. In addition, the cost of a basic basket used to measure the poverty line registered deflation, which allows for the anticipation of economic relief for the most vulnerable households.

At the same time, poverty showed a significant improvement. Official and private estimates such as Torcuato Di Tella point to a drop from more than 52% in the first half of 2024 to around 34% in the latest reports, a decrease of almost 18 points, which means that millions of Argentines have emerged from poverty.

The improvement was not limited to inflation: the total basic basket and the food basket practically did not register increases, while real family incomes grew, helping thousands of Argentines to escape poverty.

This way, Milei's 60% approval rating in June is not an isolated figure, but rather the reflection of a visible economic recovery, with declining inflation and a substantial drop in poverty. Morning Consult, with its reliable methodology, serves as a trustworthy witness to this new public perception.
