Minister of the Interior, Diego Santilli, and Chief of Staff, Manuel Adorni, held a meeting this Friday at Casa Rosada with La Pampa Governor Sergio Ziliotto. The meeting is part of the national Government's strategy to gather political support ahead of the extraordinary sessions. During these sessions, the 2026 Budget and the package of reforms promoted by the President's administration will be debated.

The main objective of the ruling party is clear. The aim is to broaden its support base in both chambers and ensure the approval of the fiscal, economic, and administrative initiatives that the Executive will send to Congress.
Ziliotto, a moderate opponent within Peronism
Ziliotto is one of the most critical Peronist governors of the Government. Even so, he keeps a more moderate style than other provincial leaders who have openly confronted the libertarian administration.
He arrives at Casa Rosada at a time of negotiations and growing tensions between the Nation and the provinces over the discussion of budgetary interests.

His visit also takes place on the eve of a key judicial stage. Next Wednesday, December 10, the Supreme Court has called a hearing regarding the "pension debt" that La Pampa is claiming from the Nation. According to Ziliotto, the amount reaches 350,000 million pesos (771,618,000 USD), supported by the 1999 Fiscal Pact and Law 27.260.
The pension issue adds pressure to the political negotiation. For the Government, obtaining La Pampa's support in Congress could facilitate broader agreements within the framework of the budget debate.
The Government accelerates consensus-building
The meeting with Ziliotto is part of an intense agenda that Santilli has been pursuing since his arrival at the Ministry of the Interior. The official has been holding meetings with governors from absolutely all political sectors. The objective of ensuring a framework of governability for the structural reforms proposed by the Milei administration is key.
Adorni sigue con su agenda dialoguista con las provincias
Adorni, meanwhile, supports this process from the Chief of Staff's Office, coordinating the political strategy with Casa Rosada in a legislative scenario where every vote counts.
The presence of the governor of La Pampa at Balcarce 50 reinforces the message that even the most reluctant sectors of Peronism toward the Government are willing to sit at the table. Negotiation is welcome even in an economic and fiscal context that is delicate for all provinces, especially those dependent on the Nation.
