This Friday, Grupo Dinosaurio will inaugurate its new solar park near Deán Funes, consolidating it as the largest photovoltaic project developed so far within the province of Córdoba. The facility is located next to National Route 60 and was designed to be integrated into the provincial system through infrastructure prepared for sustained operation. The project aims to ensure energy supply for the group's commercial units, reduce costs, and expand electricity availability through self-generation.
The site covers seventy-five hectares (185 acres) and brings together forty megawatts installed, connected to a transformer station designed to operate without interruptions. The installation will allow operation with the sixty-six kilovolt network managed by Epec and ensure a stable flow to the provincial interconnected system. The initiative will provide support and backup to the group's business units and will allow surplus energy to be injected into the grid when production exceeds demand.
The investment reached US$33 million allocated to technology, electrical works, and necessary adaptations for the assembly of all equipment. The project is part of a corporate plan that seeks to diversify energy sources and take advantage of the solar radiation available in the northern region of Córdoba. The company emphasized that the new park will allow for greater predictability in operations and support the group's commercial and industrial expansion.
