The Córdoba taxi drivers' social welfare organization was declared in crisis by the Superintendency.

The Social Welfare Fund for Taxi Drivers in the province of Córdoba was included by the Superintendency of Health Services in the list of entities in crisis. The measure was taken after serious shortcomings were found both in the submission of financial statements and in the management of the administrative structure. The declaration was made official this Monday through a resolution published in the Official Gazette.

The national agency reported that the Córdoba mutual presented deficiencies in its financial statements and problems in its institutional management capacity. In addition, a financial outlook that, according to official controls, doesn't meet the required sustainability parameters was noted. These irregularities exceeded the levels of criticality established by current regulations.

The decision aims to protect the members of the social welfare fund and ensure that health services are not neglected in the short term. The measure includes the Córdoba mutual and the Social Welfare Fund for Personnel in the Tucumán Sugar Industry. With these two additions, there are now 14 entities in this situation nationwide.

Deadlines and measures to be met

Following the resolution, the two affected social welfare funds must submit a contingency plan within a maximum of 15 business days. The document must include corrective measures and establish mandatory quarterly compliance objectives. Monitoring will be carried out by the Evaluation and Monitoring Committee for the Crisis and Liquidation Procedure of Insurance Agents.

Meanwhile, the Superintendency of Health keeps other processes related to the oversight of service-providing entities open. Currently, seven ongoing terminations are being processed and eight social welfare funds remain under intervention. These actions are part of a policy of increased oversight to prevent risks in beneficiaries' coverage.

The national government keeps that these measures are part of a comprehensive reorganization of the health system. The objective is to ensure that active entities can provide quality services with administrative transparency. The aim is also to strengthen users' right to freely choose their coverage within a reliable framework.
