Greenpeace terrorists vandalized this Wednesday the monument to the Two Congresses, located in front of the Congress of the Argentine Nation, as part of the legislative discussion for the reform of the Glacier Law promoted by the Government ofJavier Miley.
Through hanging posters, they wrote the messages: “Deputies: do not betray Argentines” and “The GlacierLaw is not touched”.
The incident occurred after half past six in the morning, when a group of nine criminals climbed the perimeter fence to vandalize the monument with a large flag.

City Police personnel, assigned to the Congress area, intervened after detecting the action. The demonstrators were evicted and contraventional acts were drawn on them. Meanwhile, two of the activists who remained at altitude gave up their actions in the face of the arrival of firefighters from the Special Rescue Group (GER
).
Those involved were left at the disposal of the East Flagrance Unit, in charge of Dr. Basavilbaso, who ordered the notification of the corresponding contraventions. Later, they were released.
The episode came just hours before a key vote in the Chamber of Deputies. The Milei Government would already have the necessary votes to move forward with the approval of the reform, which generated mobilizations by opposition sectors and left-wing

The reform of the Glacier Law The
initiative promoted by the libertarian administration aims to modify Law 26,639, in force since 2010, with the objective of enabling
mining and hydrocarbon activities in currently restricted areas.
In this context, the reform seeks to unlock million-dollar investments mainly linked to the development of resources such as copper and lithium, promoting economic growth and employment for Argentines.
In addition, the proposal contemplates redefining which areas should have strict protection within glacial and periglacial systems, differentiating between those areas that require environmental protection and others that could be used economically.
Greenpeace's actions are not isolated. A little over a month ago, members of the organization carried out an occupation of the Senate esplanade, also in rejection of the official bill, which led to arrests.
