They auctioned the legendary Ferrari that Schumacher drove to win his fourth F1 title.
The legendary F2001 of the German driver was sold for a record amount, placing it among the most expensive of all time
Shortly after the Monaco Grand Prix, the auction house RM Sotheby's announced that the Ferrari used by Michael Schumacher on that circuit during the 2001 season was sold for 16 million euros.

This sale positioned Chassis 211 as the most expensive among those used by the German driver, surpassing the F2003, which was sold for nearly 12 millionin 2022.
As high as the amount invested in "The Crown Jewel" may seem, it is only the fourth most expensive in history. At the top is the Mercedes W196 R Silver Streamliner driven by the legendary Juan Manuel Fangio at the 1955 Buenos Aires Grand Prix, which was auctioned for more than 51.15 million euros earlier this year.

The single-seaters completing the podium are the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 W04 of Lewis Hamilton, auctioned in 2023 for 17 million, and the Mercedes-Benz W196 R of Fangio and Moss, auctioned in 2013 for 23 million.
The importance of Chassis 211
Twenty-three years ago, on May 27, 2001, Michael Schumacher achieved a historic victory at the Monaco Grand Prix behind the wheel of this very chassis. However, the most important moment would come later, when the Kaiser claimed the 2001 Formula 1 Drivers' and Constructors' World Championship with this same car.
Twelve weeks after dominating the streets of Monte Carlo, Schumacher excelled again with an outstanding performance in Hungary, thus securing the title. This way, chassis 211 became the only Ferrari of the driver to win both the Monaco Grand Prix and the Formula 1 World Championship in the same season.
