With the regular phase of the Clausura Tournament now concluded, the 16 teams qualified for the round of 16 have been determined, a stage that will be played as a single match. After the bracket was confirmed, the Professional League made official the complete schedule for the first knockout round, which will take place between Saturday and Wednesday due to Lanús's international commitments, as Lanús is required to postpone its match because of the final of the Copa Sudamericana.
The action will kick off on Saturday the 22nd with Vélez - Argentinos Juniors, a match scheduled for 20:00 at the José Amalfitani. Later, at 22:30, at the Madre de Ciudades de Santiago del Estero, Central Córdoba and San Lorenzo will face each other in another direct clash for a spot in the quarterfinals.
Sunday the 23rd will feature two very attractive clashes between the leaders of both groups. At 17:30, at the Gigante de Arroyito, Rosario Central (the absolute leader of Group B and the Annual Table) will host Estudiantes de La Plata. Then, at 20:00, Boca, first in Group A, will host Talleres from Córdoba at La Bombonera.
One day later, on Monday the 24th, Deportivo Riestra will play against Barracas Central at 17:00 at the Guillermo Laza in a direct clash between the favorites of "Chiqui" Tapia. The highlight of the day will follow at 19:30, as Racing and River will play one of the toughest matchups of the phase at the Cilindro de Avellaneda. The day will conclude at 22:00, when Unión hosts Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata in Santa Fe.
Finally, due to its international decider against Atlético Mineiro on Saturday the 22nd, Lanús will play only on Wednesday the 26th at 21:30, visiting Tigre at the Estadio Néstor Díaz Pérez, where the last team to join the top eight of the Clausura will be determined.
