This is how Ram's next pickup, which could be manufactured in Argentina, is being prepared
The Ram 1200 pick-up would share its platform with the Titano, but with a much more refined design, interior, and technology
Ram could be preparing to launch a new mid-size pick-up in the region. Everything suggests that this is the 1200, a model that would share its platform with the Fiat Titano.
According to recent spy images, the proposal from the North American brand—part of Stellantis—would aim for a more sophisticated profile. It would not simply be a rebadged Titano: the goal would be to target a more demanding audience.

An ambitious project
In several markets, Ram 1200 already exists as a slightly modified version of the Titano. However, in this case, everything indicates that the approach will be different.
The photos leaked by BF//MS and Placa Verde show a camouflaged prototype with similar proportions but unique details. For example, the front headlights, the design of the bed, and a possible integrated bar that its Fiat counterpart doesn't have.
Inspired design
Everything suggests that the model would take aesthetic cues from the Changan Hunter. This Chinese pick-up has already served as the basis for the Peugeot Landtrek and the Titano itself.

Even so, the future Ram would have its own visual language. The camouflage hides a design that promises to be more modern and robust, aiming for a premium image within the segment.
Exclusive interior and more technology
An even more refined cabin is also expected, with a fully digital dashboard, new materials, and a proprietary multimedia screen. All with the goal of providing a different experience from what the Titano currently offers.

This would reinforce Ram's strategy to position itself as a superior option within the Stellantis universe, where Fiat, Peugeot, and Citroën already coexist.
Same engine, but with a twist
As for the powertrain, the 2.2 turbo diesel engine with 200 hp would be retained, with two torque configurations: 401 Nm for the version with a six-speed manual transmission and 450 Nm paired with the eight-speed automatic.
A range of 2WD and 4x4 options is also expected, probably following the same logic as the Titano. Rear-wheel drive in the base versions and two all-wheel-drive systems for the better-equipped variants (4WD with low range and AWD with automatic distribution).

Production in Córdoba?
The Ram 1200 could be added to the assembly line that Stellantis already has in Córdoba, where the Titano is currently manufactured. That would allow the company to leverage local infrastructure to supply both the Argentine market and other regional destinations.
If confirmed, this would be a strong move by Ram to gain prominence in the competitive mid-size pick-up segment.
