Two European giants are reportedly considering Dibu Martínez for the next season.
Faced with a possible departure from Aston Villa, the national team's goalkeeper already has offers ahead of the mid-year transfer market
Emiliano Martínez is back in the spotlight of the transfer market due to rumors about a possible departure from Aston Villa. With two rounds left before the Premier League closes, it has been revealed that two European powerhouses are closely following his steps: FC Barcelona and Manchester United.

Dibu arrived at the institution in 2020 after an extensive stint with Arsenal, a club where he was loaned out six times over eight years. Since being in Birmingham, he has managed to establish himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the English championship and has become the main goalkeeper for the Argentina National Team. His stellar performance in the Qatar 2022 World Cup, with decisive interventions, earned him a privileged place in international consideration.
The recent 2-0 victory against Tottenham at Villa Park fueled the rumors about his departure, as he bid farewell to the fans in tears, interpreted as a possible goodbye. Despite having renewed his contract until 2029 in the middle of last year, the interest around him is increasing.

The network DSports, through journalist Fernando Czyz, confirmed that both Manchester United and Barcelona have the world champion goalkeeper in their sights. "EL DIBU: IN THE SIGHTS OF TWO GIANTS! Emiliano Martínez has offers from Manchester United and Barcelona to leave Aston Villa," they reported from their social media.
In England, the irregular performance of André Onana, who joined the Red Devils from Inter in 2023 for 47.2 million pounds, has even led to requests from figures like Wayne Rooney for David de Gea to return to the club. In the case of the Catalan team, Marc-André ter Stegen's knee injury opened the door for Wojciech Szczęsny, but although there is an intention to renew with the Pole, no agreement has been signed yet.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa's coach, Unai Emery, left the possibility of a departure open in his latest statements: "We'll see. Of course, it's the last match (of the season) here, and I don't know. We'll see how the team is, the players. Of course, they're responding on the field," commented the coach, fueling uncertainty about Martínez's future.
