Leonel "Lolo" Miranda is going through a present far from the lights of professional soccer. At 32 years old and without a club, the midfielder was the protagonist of a video that went viral in the last few hours, in which he is seen selling a gold ring in the middle of a street in Villa Tranquila, Avellaneda, the neighborhood where his mother lives.
In the footage, recorded by an acquaintance who came over to complete the purchase, the former Independiente and Racing player explained that he needed to part with the piece of jewelry in the middle of his current situation. "Right now we are like this, struggling. We are waiting, a ton of offers came in, but well... that they let me play six months anywhere", he is heard saying.
Miranda said that he had the ring made during his time at Academia, one of the most outstanding moments of his career, when he won the Champions Trophy and the International Super Cup in 2022. "I had it made quite a while ago, when I played for Racing. It is terrific", he commented before closing the deal.
