President Javier Milei officially announced the launch of the Isaac Accords, a new cooperation platform between Israel and Latin America that positions Argentina as its main driving force.

The announcement was made at the Casa Rosada during the visit of Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, with whom Milei held a working meeting focused on the diplomatic, technical, and political scope of this regional initiative.

Inspired by the Abraham Accords—the framework promoted in 2020 by the United States to normalize relations between Israel and Arab countries—the Isaac Accords seek to replicate, in a Latin American context, an integration process encompassing areas of innovation, security, trade, and cultural exchange.

According to the Argentine government, this is a strategic project that aims to "deepen ties between Israel and Latin America" in a regional context more open to cooperation with Jerusalem.

During the meeting, Milei stated that Argentina will be a "pioneer" in this framework alongside the United States.

The President also recalled that he allocated the one million dollars received from the Genesis Prize to finance initiatives related to the development of the Isaac Accords, a political signal of the importance his administration assigns to this agenda.

Argentine Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno will travel to Israel in February to advance diplomatic coordination with Sa’ar and the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Argentine Ambassador to Israel, Axel Wahnish, also plays a central role, coordinating local efforts and supporting the process of opening the future Argentine embassy in Jerusalem, scheduled for 2026.

The roadmap includes a first stage with Uruguay, Panama, and Costa Rica, countries where projects in technology, security, and economic development are already being evaluated. Official sources indicate that these nations could be the first to sign bilateral agreements under the umbrella of the Isaac Accords.

Sa’ar's visit to Buenos Aires is part of a regional tour that also included Paraguay, a country that has strengthened its alignment with Israel in recent months under the presidency of Santiago Peña.

For Israeli diplomacy, the region is experiencing a favorable moment to deepen alliances, and Milei's Argentina aspires to occupy a leadership role in this process.

With the President's formal announcement, the Isaac Accords are now officially launched, marking the beginning of a new phase of integration between Israel and Latin America.
