The La Libertad Avanza Uruguay alliance has reached the required signatures and can compete in 2029.
The Court validated the signatures
The group La Libertad Avanza Uruguay has reached a significant milestone by gathering the number of signatures required by the Electoral Court to formalize itself as a political party in the country.
This achievement, which was announced through the social network X, marks a key step for the group to be able to participate in the national elections scheduled for 2029.
The new party defines itself as a "new right-wing front" that, according to its bylaws, aims to "unite different conservative, patriotic, and libertarian movements" under a single political vision. This project seeks to consolidate a proposal that combines traditional values with principles of individual freedom, according to its official communications.

Sources from the Electoral Court, in conversation with the EFE news agency, explained that the next step in the process will be the review of the report prepared by the commission in charge of verifying the submitted signatures.
Once this analysis is completed and, if it is approved, both the statute and the declaration of principles of La Libertad Avanza will be published in the Official Gazette and on the official website of the Electoral Court.
From that moment, a ten-day period will open during which any citizen may file objections to the party's registration. If no objections are filed, the group will be formally established as a political party.
