Xeneize informed four players that they will have to look for a new destination for next season
With the transfer market just starting and a demanding 2026 calendar on the horizon,Boca has already begun to make strong decisions regarding its squad. During both the first semester and the second part of the year, several players were relegated under the management of Miguel Ángel Russo and Claudio Úbeda, a situation that is now beginning to have concrete consequences.
In this context, the board has already informed four players that they will not be considered and that they will have to look for a new club. Two of them are currently part of the first-team squad: Lucas Janson and Agustín Martegani, who had limited playing time throughout the season and, in some cases, were not even included in the squad list.

Beyond the sporting decision to separate them, the club clarified that it will not terminate their contracts. This decision means that, for the moment, their future is a complete mystery. It is worth clarifying that both players have a contract until 2027 and, in the case of the formerSan Lorenzo, a release clause set at 20 million dollars, one of the highest in the squad.
The other two cases correspond to players who will return from their respective loans to Xeneize for the start of preseason at the Ezeiza training complex. These are the forwards Nicolás Orsini and Norberto Briasco, who are returning from their loans atPlatense andGimnasia and who are also not in the coaching staff's plans.

The departures that could take place in the coming days
In parallel, Boca is analyzing other possible moves involving more players. Although no sales have been finalized so far, the club from La Ribera could have some departures on loan deals. Some of the names targeted are the youngsters Santiago Dalmasso, closely followed by Banfield and Gimnasia, and Mateo Mendía, who is of interest to Peñarol.
Meanwhile, Lautaro Di Lollo has attracted interest from Inter Miami and it is not ruled out that an offer could arrive in the coming weeks. In recent days, different reports have circulated claiming that Javier Mascherano requested him for Las Garzas and that they would be willing to pay between 8 and 10 million dollars, an amount lower than his 15 million clause, but one that could convince the blue-and-gold side.
