La Bombonera dedicated chants to the Kirchnerist Riquelme and the Football Council.

The fans are starting to get fed up with the team's poor performance and the lack of response from the club's management, and they showed it in the match against Granate

For the first time since they took office at the club, Juan Román Riquelme and the members of the Football Council were the target of insults from the entire La Bombonera. Although the president was not directly alluded to, the widespread chants after the draw against Lanús, which led to elimination by penalties, marked a breaking point.

The incident did not go unnoticed, especially considering the figure Riquelme represents for the Xeneize fan, who recognizes him as the greatest idol in the club's history, at least as a player. However, the recent sports results ended up triggering the people's discontent.

As the hours passed, images and videos capturing the exact moment the stadium erupted multiplied on social media. In the footage, Raúl Cascini, Marcelo Delgado, Mauricio Serna, Cristian Riquelme, and the president himself can be seen without exchanging gestures among themselves, nor uttering any words, completely surprised by the crowd's reaction.

Despite being historical figures of Boca to varying degrees, the former players who now lead both the managerial and sports areas did not imagine being questioned in that way. However, the fan was clear: no name is above the club.

Herrón spoke about the fans' insults

Asked in a press conference about the public's reaction, Boca's interim coach, Mariano Herrón, referred to the chants directed at the Board of Directors and the Football Council, although he clarified that President Riquelme was not mentioned directly.

"We understand the anger and need to work to improve, but it's understandable that they didn't leave satisfied, of course," Mariano Herrón replied emphatically.
