Ambrosio Taravella Airport continues to expand its connections and boosts the arrival of both domestic and international tourists to Córdoba. Starting in December, Flybondi will operate direct flights to Ushuaia, El Calafate, and Puerto Iguazú, consolidating the province as its second most important operations hub.
The addition of new air routes not only makes it easier for Córdoba residents to travel to key destinations, but also opens the door to increased inbound tourism in the region. This represents a direct benefit for the hotel industry, gastronomy, and all local tourism activities, which usually intensify during peak season.
Meanwhile, Aerolíneas Argentinas has confirmed that in 2026 there will be direct Córdoba–Aruba flights in January and February, aiming to attract international tourism. The initiative adds competitiveness to Córdoba within the air transport market, where each new frequency impacts the regional economy.

Economic impact and benefits for the province
The increase in direct flights to highly attractive tourist destinations multiplies business opportunities in hospitality, gastronomy, and services. Each tourist arriving in Córdoba means more domestic consumption and more income for local small and medium-sized enterprises that support a large part of the provincial economy.
Air connectivity also promotes the development of cultural events, congresses, and international fairs that find in Córdoba a more accessible city. Better connections not only boost leisure tourism, but also corporate tourism, which has a significant impact on the demand for premium services.
At the same time, Córdoba strengthens its strategic role on the Argentine air map, competing with Buenos Aires as an operations hub. The presence of private airlines such as Flybondi is key because they generate greater competition and allow travelers to access better prices and more options.
