A retired sergeant from the Police of Córdoba was arrested for the alleged abuse of a minor. The incident reportedly took place in a police booth on North Riverside Drive. The formal complaint indicated that the abuse occurred between Bailén and Caroya streets, in the Yapeyú neighborhood. The accused has been retired since 2008. The investigation seeks to determine the sequence of events with precision.
Enraged neighbors attacked the booth after learning about the news. They broke windows, the door, and furniture. The place was left unusable after the attack.
Security operation in the area
National Gendarmerie deployed an operation to secure the area and prevent further incidents. The measure remained in place until the situation was under control. The arrest of the former police officer took place on Monday afternoon inside the police post.

The accused faces charges of aggravated sexual abuse and aggravated by relationship and cohabitation. He is in custody at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
