Fabián Rossi, the financier and ex-husband of Iliana Calabró, turned himself in to authorities this Monday at the Comodoro Py courthouse, complying with the arrest warrant issued by Judge Néstor Costabel, after the confirmation of his conviction in the case known as the K Money Trail. His most likely destination is Ezeiza prison, specifically module 1, K wing, a section reserved for high-profile and "white-collar" inmates, as revealed by journalist Martín Candalaft on the DDM program hosted by Mariana Fabbiani.
"It's called the 'famous wing.' By a striking alphabetical coincidence, he got K," Candalaft explained.
Fabián Rossi detained: his life in the "K wing," among corrupt officials, drug traffickers, and abusers
In that wing, which doesn't house common inmates but those convicted of corruption, money laundering, sexual abuse, or ties to drug trafficking, Rossi will live in an individual cell, like the rest of his fellow inmates. "It's not a violent wing, but rather a quiet one. But with heavyweights," the journalist clarified.
Among his possible neighbors is Ricardo Jaime, former Secretary of Transportation convicted of corruption and for his responsibility in the Once tragedy. The space is also shared by Elías David Piccirillo, ex-husband of Jésica Cirio, linked to money laundering cases. Piccirillo occupies cell 5, Jaime cell 6. Rossi could be placed in a nearby one.
"Imagine all of them together in there. Some already adapted, like Jaime, who knows the wing inside out," Candalaft said ironically.
The list of names also includes Julio César Castro, a former chief prosecutor convicted of sexual abuse and gender-based violence; Mariano José Mera Alba, former advisor to a former Interior Minister, involved in a kidnapping with alleged complicity from Boca's barra brava; and José Alberto Uriburu, a lawyer known for running marathons on his balcony during the pandemic, but detained for being part of a kidnapping gang.
Additionally, Ulises Romero Godoy, a key drug trafficker from Villa 1-11-14, also shares the wing. They are joined by Juan Ariel Cristian Heine, involved in land seizures in San Vicente, and Gustavo Alberto Semorile, a lawyer involved in a mixed gang of drug traffickers, police officers, and judicial officials.
