Moretti was cleared by the AFA Ethics Tribunal to return to San Lorenzo
The executive will be able to resume his position, although the judiciary is still investigating him for alleged fraudulent administration and bribery
San Lorenzo received a key piece of news for its institutional life: Marcelo Moretti was authorized by the AFA Ethics Tribunal to return to the club's presidency.
According to various sources, the body decided not to apply any sanctions, which will allow the official to resume his position within the Executive Committee as a regular member and, by extension, his leadership in the institution.

The Tribunal communicated internally that it did not find sufficient grounds to expel Moretti from the AFA sphere. The Tribunal even requested raw material from Canal 9, which was not answered, leaving the entity without enough evidence to issue a formal ruling.
After the resolution became known, the official is expected to reappear publicly this Thursday at an institutional event. Nevertheless, his return is surrounded by controversy, since the ordinary justice system continues to investigate the official for alleged fraudulent administration and bribery, a case for which he was charged on April 22 and summoned for questioning.
Meanwhile, in light of a possible return of Moretti, the current president of San Lorenzo, Julio Lopardo, expressed his firm opposition: "If Moretti returns, I will resign from the Board of Directors," according to statements to San Lorenzo Primero. In addition, it is speculated that other members of the Board of Directors could submit their resignations if the official's return is formalized, although there are no confirmations so far.

This return of Moretti marks a decisive chapter in the club's recent history, and it is anticipated that the coming days will be key for institutional stability and the reaction of members, officials, and AFA itself.
