Journalist Luis Bremer explained on air that the caregivers were tied up. One of them was reportedly blindfolded and injured, although she is out of danger.
During the robbery, the intruders ransacked the house in search of money and valuables. It also emerged that they reportedly took the internal security cameras.

Elba Palermo is going through an advanced stage of Alzheimer's, which made the situation even more delicate. According to reports, she was immobilized and locked in the bathroom during the assault. Police personnel worked at the scene to carry out forensic examinations.
