UEFA confirmed the members of its new Executive Committee

Additionally, the European representatives who will participate in the FIFA Council were defined

During the 49th UEFA Congress held in Belgrade, Serbia, the presidents of the 55 associations that comprise it met and established the new composition of the Executive Committee of the organization that governs European football.

In this restructuring, Italian Gabriele Gravina and German Hans-Joachim Watzke were confirmed in their positions, who will continue to play key roles in strategic decision-making for the continent's football.

Among the new members of the Executive Committee are Norwegian Lise Klaveness, Croatian Marijan Kustic, Finnish Ari Lahti, Armenian Armen Melikbekyan, Dutch Frank Paauw, Estonian Aivar Pohlak, Spanish Rafael Louzán, President of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), and Israeli Moshe Zuares.

The last two mentioned won the vote against Ukrainian Andrii Shevchenko, Milan legend, Vadims Lasenko, president of the Latvian Football Federation, and Bjorn Vassallo, president of the Malta Football Association. Meanwhile, Claudius Schäfer was confirmed as the representative of the European Leagues for a four-year period.

European representatives in FIFA

Regarding the continent's representation on the FIFA Council, Razvan Burleanu (Romania), Georgios Koumas (Cyprus), Bernd Neuendorf (Germany), and Dejan Savicevic (Montenegro) were reelected, while Pascale van Damme (Belgium) joined as a new member.

Finally, David Gill, Karl-Erik Nilsson, and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge were named honorary members of the Executive Committee in recognition of their significant contributions to European football over the years.
