The FGR confirmed that Rancho Izaguirre has been operating since 2021

The Attorney General, Gertz Manero, released new information about the Izaguirre ranch case in Teuchitlán

The Attorney General's Office (FGR) revealed new information on Monday about the Rancho Izaguirre, located in Teuchitlán, Jalisco. According to the attorney general's office, the ranch has been operated by organized crime since 2021, and not since 2024 as initially thought.

The seriousness of the discovery grows in light of the evidence that the authorities have known for three years what was happening at the site, but chose silence and omission.

The head of the FGR, Alejandro Gertz Manero, detailed that there are testimonies and documentation provided by the Jalisco State Human Rights Commission (CEDHJ). The attorney general points out that since 2021 they have alerted the authorities about criminal activities in the area. However, no action was taken by local officials or by the federal authorities.

The omission of local and state authorities exposes a cover-up network

"We have evidence since 2021 that the CEDHJ informed local authorities about what was happening there and they did nothing"

stated Gertz Manero.

This statement harshly exposes the complicity by omission of the institutional apparatus under the state government. But also of the federal authorities who for years allowed the operation of a criminal training camp in the heart of the Jalisco community.

The FGR also detailed that bonfires, trenches, and a vessel with bone fragments were found, compelling evidence of incineration practices. However, Gertz Manero has followed the narrative of the Morena government of denying the cremations, despite the evidence.

"For cremation to occur, it needs to reach 8,000 degrees"

explained the attorney general, downplaying the obvious: there was fire, bones, and horror at that ranch, even if they try to soften it.

Currently, there are 14 people prosecuted, including three former municipal police officers from Tala and José Gregorio "Lastra", identified as the recruiter for the criminal group. Gertz Manero assured that any public servant involved, regardless of their level, must be brought to justice.

Morena, absent while terror flourished

Meanwhile, the country faces a  historic crisis of the disappeared, the Morena government has been unable to respond effectively.

The case of Rancho Izaguirre is not only proof of institutional failure. It also demonstrates the abandonment of thousands of families by a regime more concerned with discourse than with results.

The attorney general promised "support" to the families, but what is urgently needed is truth, justice, and political responsibility, something the Morena government has systematically evaded.
