In a live interview with LAM (América TV), La Joaqui was asked whether the actress had broken the codes of their friendship. Her response surprised more than one person.

"Nothing happened. People change their tastes. You like padel and I like golf and maybe we used to share our moments playing padel and now I go to golf and I don't have time," she explained calmly.
With wit, the reporter followed up by asking if China had done something she did not like as a friend. But the singer was clear: "None, none, none. Each of us went our own way and to our own places, but everything is good," she stated, dismissing any conflict between them.
The rumors that fueled the story of a fight
For months, there was speculation that their relationship had broken down because of a third party. According to reports from entertainment media, the distancing allegedly coincided with the connection between La Joaqui and James Rodríguez.
In October 2023, the singer appeared on Podemos Hablar (Andy Kusnetzoff) and revealed that she was getting to know "an international player," although at that time she chose not to give names to avoid media exposure.
"I'm still getting to know him. If I say it now, they're going to put so much energy on it that they're going to ruin it for me," she said on the show.
