At a press conference at the White House, United States President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented an ambitious plan aimed at ending the war in Gaza and establishing a long-term framework for stability in the region.
Trump stated that Israel has already accepted the proposal and that the next step depends on Hamas’s response.
According to his explanation, if the terrorist group approves it, the release of all hostages—alive and deceased—would take place within 72 hours, accompanied by an immediate ceasefire and the beginning of reconstruction in the Strip.
The American president emphasized that his initiative has the support of several Arab countries and that it could open the door to broader regional peace.

At the same time, he made it clear that if Hamas rejects the agreement, Washington will fully support Israel in its right to destroy the organization. "Bibi, you have our full support to do whatever you must do," Trump declared, addressing Netanyahu.
Among the central points of the plan is the total demilitarization of Gaza, the disarmament of Hamas, the creation of a transitional civil administration managed by Palestinian and international experts, and the supervision of an international body called the "Peace Council", chaired by Trump himself.
This entity will be responsible for channeling humanitarian aid, rehabilitating infrastructure, and attracting investment for the economic development of the enclave.
Netanyahu, meanwhile, praised the proposal and highlighted that it addresses all of Israel’s strategic objectives: the elimination of the Hamas threat, the return of the hostages, Israeli security inside and around Gaza, and the creation of a civil administrative framework that guarantees a dignified life for the enclave’s inhabitants without posing a risk to Israel.
The prime minister also stressed that there will be no place for the Palestinian Authority in Gaza until it undergoes deep reforms.
In his statements, Netanyahu spared no praise for Trump, whom he described as "the best friend Israel has ever had in the White House".
Trump insisted that the proposal is "extremely fair" and recalled that even many Palestinians long for peace after decades of oppression under the Hamas regime.
The plan also includes a prisoner exchange and the opening of a humanitarian corridor under international control, with the guarantee that Gaza will become a terrorism-free zone.
The American leader concluded his remarks by appealing directly to Hamas to accept the initiative, which, he said, offers "a real opportunity to end suffering and open a new era of peace and prosperity".
