Bell Ville debuts as the new venue for Pre Cosquín
The city of Córdoba joins the historic folk festival and marks an unprecedented cultural event
For the first time in its history Bell Ville will be the official host of Pre Cosquín, an event that opens the doors to the country's largest folk festival. The event will take place on September 13 and 14, with the arrival of musicians and dancers from different provinces. For the city, it means unprecedented cultural recognition that projects it onto the national stage.
The news was announced by Mayor Juan Manuel Moroni, who highlighted the symbolic value of this unprecedented designation for the municipality. According to the mayor, the event not only enhances the local identity, but also positions it as a regional artistic beacon. He also noted that a significant influx of tourists is expected, which will benefit hotels, bars and businesses.
Pre Cosquín serves as a preliminary selection stage to access the traditional National Folklore Festival of Cosquín. For artists, it represents a platform for visibility and projection throughout the country. For the host city, it is a unique opportunity to strengthen its cultural and economic profile.

A competition that goes beyond the artistic
Those interested in participating will have until August 17 to register on Bell Ville's official website. On Saturday, September 13, the dance competition will take place at Teatro Coliseo, evaluating different traditional and stylized styles. On Sunday, September 14, it will be the turn of music, with space for soloists, essential groups and original songs.
Moroni acknowledged that the designation implies an institutional and logistical challenge, since Bell Ville has never before hosted an event of such magnitude. "It is a very big challenge to put Bell Ville in these places of folklore," the mayor said with pride. The phrase sums up the symbolic dimension of an event that goes beyond the strictly artistic.
The impact of Pre Cosquín in Bell Ville will generate a tourist movement in the city and throughout the region. Merchants and entrepreneurs expect to capitalize on the arrival of visitors in the days before and after the competition. This way, the event becomes an engine of development, as well as a milestone for local identity.
