Scandal in Bouwer: gender ideology put female inmates in the hands of an abuser

The Cordoba justice system has sent Gabriela Nahir Fernández, a prisoner convicted of abuse who self-identified as a woman and was transferred to the women's prison in Bouwer, to trial. There, she reoffended and sexually abused several inmates, infecting them with syphilis, confirming what was foreseeable from the beginning. What happened was the direct consequence of yielding to ideological whims rather than reason or common sense.

The penitentiary system opened its doors to a criminal disguised as a woman, ignoring the risk faced by the real incarcerated women. This absurd privilege was justified in the name of self-perceived identity, but those who could not defend themselves suffered the consequences. The authorities chose to look the other way, acting as accomplices by omission in a scenario that was easily avoidable.

The case demonstrates the level of degradation reached by a policy that prioritizes ideological slogans over security and justice. It was not a casual mistake, but the logical consequence of subjecting the law to the whims of the gender agenda. Negligence can't be disguised as respect for diversity when there are real victims who bear the consequences.

The failure of a policy that privileges criminals

Fernández, 34 years old, was charged with seven counts of sexual abuse, with aggravating factors for carrying a serious communicable disease. She is even identified as a co-perpetrator in assaults with analogous objects and in an attempted armed attack inside the prison along with other inmates. What is alarming is that all of this happened in a prison where the safety of the inmates was supposedly to be guaranteed, not the dysphoria of a criminal.

Meanwhile, two accomplices were charged as co-perpetrators in one of the abuses, but the main responsibility falls on an individual who should never have shared a cell block with women. Still, the local progressive political accomplice chose to grant a right that violated those of the victims. This kind of privilege demonstrates the perversion of a policy that protects the perpetrator and not those who should be safeguarded.

The scandal went beyond the judicial sphere and sparked a national debate about transferring prisoners according to self-perceived gender. Patricia Bullrich warned that this was an emblematic case of the failure of this criterion, which in practice turned the inmates into targets of predictable attacks. Meanwhile, local progressivism continues to defend ideological slogans without taking responsibility for the real cost of its irresponsibility.

Local progressivism refuses to modify this agenda and keeps the discourse of diversity while behind each slogan there are real victims. The lack of prison infrastructure worsens the problem, but it doesn't justify yielding to a policy that disregards the safety of women. The gender agenda ended up being a safe-conduct for a degenerate who never ceased to be a danger.
