Given River's interest in Galarza and Portillo, Fassi made his position clear
While negotiations continue, the president of T warned that the club will only let them go if Millonario pays what they are worth
The transfer market for River remains active and now targets two players from Talleres de Córdoba: Matías Galarza Fonda and Juan Carlos Portillo. Given the interest from the Millonario and the negotiations already underway, President Andrés Fassi has made the club's position clear.
On Tuesday, it emerged that River is in advanced negotiations for both players, who are open to joining Marcelo Gallardo's team. However, leaving "la T" won't be easy and prolonged talks are expected.
Last night, Talleres introduced its new head coach, Carlos Tévez, following the unexpected resignation of Diego Cocca, who left his position without making his debut. There, Fassi addressed the situation: "When River comes and asks for players, it's very difficult for them to stay".

During the press conference, Fassi noted that he understands the players' intention to seek a financial leap: "If a player can earn five times more, it's logical". However, he made the conditions clear: "River knows it will have to pay what they're worth. If they pay, Portillo and Galarza will leave; if not, Tevez will have two more players…".
Meanwhile, Tévez expressed his desire to retain all the players, although the final decision will depend on what River offers. The initial proposals were not entirely convincing and the numbers will need to improve.
Regarding prices, for Galarza the Millonario offered money plus players, such as Santiago Simón and Lautaro Rivero, but Talleres wants 6 million dollars for 80% of the transfer rights. In the case of Portillo, the offer was 4 million dollars for 80%, an amount that also did not satisfy the Córdoba management. Negotiations are ongoing and updates are expected in the coming days.
