The Government confirmed that Albiceleste's matches will be broadcast on free-to-air television thanks to a commercial agreement that will cover the cost of the broadcasting rights
Despite all the rumors caused by the opposition that indicated otherwise, the national government announced that both TV Pública and Radio Nacional will broadcast all the matches of the Argentina national team during the 2026 World Cup. The confirmation arrived this Monday through the Chief of Cabinet, Manuel Adorni, who detailed that the broadcast will be possible thanks to a commercial agreement.
"Televisión Pública and Radio Nacional will broadcast all the matches of the Argentina national team during the 2026 World Cup. Thanks to a commercial agreement, the cost of the broadcasting rights will not be covered with taxpayers' money. For everyone, without using everyone's money", wrote the official on his X account.

This way, the Executive guaranteed that the matches of the national team can be watched on free-to-air television, without the State having to allocate resources from taxpayersto acquire the television rights.
The 2026 World Cup, which will be played in Canada, the United States, and Mexico, will begin in the middle of this year. The Albiceleste will be part of Group J, where it will make its debut on Tuesday, June 16 at 10:00 p.m. against Algeria in Kansas, then it will face Austria on Monday 22 at 2:00 p.m. in Dallas and it will close the initial phase against Jordan on Saturday, June 27 at 11:00 p.m.
If it advances as first or second to the next stage, the team coached by Lionel Scaloni will face one of the two best-ranked teams from Group H, a group in which Spain and Uruguay appear as the main candidates.
