After their respective participations in the Club World Cup, which ended prematurely in the group stage, River and Boca are rebuilding their squads for the second half of the year. To provide a clearer overview of each club in this transfer window, we will briefly review the confirmed arrivals and departures, as well as the rumors of signings and exits.
River's Transfer Market
Arrivals:
⬆️ Lautaro Rivero: before the Club World Cup, the center-back was recalled by the Millonario after an outstanding semester on loan at Central Córdoba de Santiago del Estero. He hasn't played since his return yet.
Hector David Martínez (Inter Miami) and Oswaldo Valencia (Cúcuta Deportivo) are also returning from their respective loans.

Departures:
⬇️ Franco Mastantuono: the young Millonario is leaving for Real Madrid after the activation of his 45 million euro release clause. His departure would be on August 14, his 18th birthday.
⬇️ Adam Bareiro: after returning from his loan at Al-Rayyan in Qatar, the Paraguayan is finally leaving River for good. Fortaleza of Brazil bought 70% of his rights for 3.2 million dollars, slightly less than what the Millonario invested in him when he was bought from San Lorenzo (3.5 million).
⬇️ Andrés Herrera: although he was returning from his loan at Columbus Crew, the Millonario agreed to extend his loan for one more year and added a purchase option.

Rumors:
Signings
?Maximiliano Salas (from Racing): although the player has already said goodbye to the Academia, his 8 million euro release clause still needs to be activated, so his arrival remains on hold.
?Lucas Cepeda (from Colo-Colo): despite clarifying that he is waiting for offers from Europe, River reportedly has a verbal agreement for his arrival. According to various media, the Millonario would be willing to pay 4.5 million for 70% of his rights.
?Juan Fernando Quintero (from América de Cali): the midfielder announced his departure from the Colombian club and has already been linked with a third spell at River. However, there has been no progress for him and he wouldn't be a priority for the coaching staff.
?Maher Carrizo (from Vélez): River wants him to strengthen the left wing, however, the 10 million requested by the Fortín complicates his arrival. In this scenario, the Millonario could work with City Group to facilitate his transfer.
?Matko Miljevic (from Huracán): the player acknowledged that River has made contact. If negotiations move forward, the Globo is asking for at least 2.5 million dollars.
?Lautaro López (from Montevideo City Torque): he would be a long-term prospect rather than an immediate starter. It seems unlikely he will join in a context where River needs a strong starting XI to face the Copa Libertadores.

Exits
?Miguel Borja: with declining performances and few starts, the Colombian would be looking to leave River in this window. Although his contract ends in December, the striker is already negotiating his exit, and one of the interested parties is Tigres of Mexico, which has already made him an offer, but not to the club. If any club pays his 3 million dollar release clause, he will leave.
?Gonzalo Tapia: since his arrival in January, he hasn't played at all and Gallardo will not consider him. River is open to offers and is reportedly negotiating with a club from Brazil.
?Leandro González Pírez: he played few minutes in the last semester and his departure is not ruled out. He is under contract until December.
?Federico Gattoni: if his loan with Sevilla, which runs until December, is cut short, River will have to pay a high sum in euros as compensation.
?Santiago Simón: due to recent injuries and limited playing time, River wouldn't rule out selling him if an offer arises.
?Manuel Lanzini: besides not being considered by Muñeco, the midfielder has interest from the United States and Saudi Arabia.
?Matías Kranevitter: if River signs a new central midfielder, the player could leave in this transfer window. His contract ends at the end of the year.
?Hector David Martínez: he returns after Inter Miami didn't exercise the purchase option. Gallardo will not consider him and the Millonario is reportedly looking for a club for a permanent transfer.
?Matías Rojas: he joined on a free loan from Inter Miami and reportedly has a purchase option for 3.2 million dollars for 50% of his rights. Although his loan runs until December, he could leave prematurely.
?Rodrigo Aliendro: he is no longer favored by Gallardo and would be among the players available for sale in this window. His contract runs until December.
